Allegra and Claritin belong to the newer antihistamines, called second generation antihistamines, cause much less sedation and act longer than the antihistamines of earlier generations. You can continue taking Clonidine but anyway should talk to your doctor if you have any of the following less serious side effects:

• unusual fatigue, dizziness, or tiredness;
• headache;
• constipation, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
• insomnia; or
• a dry mouth (sucking on ice chips or sugarless hard candy may relieve this side effect).

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
