We were given a while ago a couple of packets for maybe three month’s dosage of the new Frontline Plus product, courtesy of my daughter working at a veterinary hospital and the salesman providing these to her for our dogs. I happened to go to a local feed store yesterday to get the special food for my elder cocker mix, who has epi, and noticed they sell the Frontline (not the Plus) product. When I asked the reliable representative about the product,
here in capsule is what he said: …while all the vets are offering Frontline Plus at more expensive cost, all else it does is sterilize the fleas. OK, if we’ve already killed all the fleas with this drug, why do we care about sterilizing them? In other words, Frontline (which one of our dogs needs for ticks on her jaunts away) is just as good as the Plus, without whatever the “Plus” represents, beyond sterilizing the fleas. Any comments? (I use Advantage on the elder pup, as he goes no where near tick places, and I don’t want to put any more chemicals in his body than he absolutely needs, due to the epilepsy problem.)
